Types of memberships

Standard Studio Membership / $240 per month

Includes:

• Access to studio in between class hours

• Use of wheels, slab roller, cone 5/6 glazes, any tools

• Firing of 15 pieces per month max

Advanced Studio Membership / $340 per month

Includes:

• Access to studio in between class hours

• Use of wheels, slab roller, cone 5/6 glazes, any tools

• Firing of 30 pieces per month max

Our Membership Policy:

• An open studio membership is for experienced potters only who have taken at least two wheel classes at Anam Cré.

• Working hours for members are Sundays (all day), Mondays (all days), Tuesdays from 1pm-5pm

  Wednesdays from 1pm-5pm, Fridays before 3:30pm

• Please mop / sweep after working in the studio

• Turn off AC / lights before leaving

• Ensure lockbox is properly locked aside from using key inside momentarily

• Please don’t add water to any glazes unless you’ve consulted an instructor

• Please do not put pieces in the kiln room unless bone dry. If leather, leave them on the “Drying to Fire” racks

• The Standard Membership also includes your glazing and firing services (allotment of 15 pots per month, up to 6 inches tall). Due to high amount of pieces running through our studio, we ask that if you’d like to run more through the kiln during your monthly membership, we ask for personal payment towards these pieces or an upgrade towards the Advanced Memberbship. To estimate your additional costs before coming in, we recommend using this tool.

• You will be responsible for purchasing your clay at $30 / bag

• We highly discourage re-fires due to the fact they are risky for both your piece and our kiln

Non-Member Firing Services

If you have a home studio, but would like to use our firing services regularly, you can coordinate with the owner to glaze and fire at Anam Cré. We calculate the cost of glazing and firing your pieces by the cubic inch. To estimate your costs before coming in, we recommend using this tool.

We calculate the cost of firing your pieces by the cubic inch:

Bisque firing - 0.06 per cubic inch

Glaze firing with our glazes - 0.10 per cubic inch
